The website
starkly.cc is a static site with no accounts and no forms. We use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to count page views and page leaves — with autocapture and session recording switched off. That data (pages viewed, referrer, browser and device type, approximate location derived from IP) is processed for us by PostHog on US servers and is used only to understand what gets read.
The site is served by Cloudflare, whose infrastructure processes standard technical logs (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and protect the site under Cloudflare's own privacy terms.

Our products
Starkly software is built local-first: your content is processed on your own device and is not uploaded to Starkly unless a product says so explicitly, in its own policy, before you use it.
Where a product needs its own privacy policy — because it handles a specific kind of data, or an app store requires one — that policy is published on the product's page and takes precedence over this one for that product.
§ 03
Connected services you authorise
Some Starkly software can connect, at your direction, to services you already use — for example a wearable or health-data provider. When you authorise a connection like that, the software accesses only the data described on that service's permission screen, uses it to provide the feature you asked for, and stores it on your own device or in your own cloud storage.
Data obtained through a connected service is not transmitted to Starkly's servers, is not shared with anyone else, and is never used for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in the connected service's account settings, and the software loses access from that point.

If you email us — [email protected] or a product support address — we receive what you choose to send and use it to reply and to fix whatever needed fixing. You are not added to a marketing list; we do not run one.

Children's privacy
Starkly's website and products are professional and personal-productivity tools and are not directed to children under 13.
§ 06
Your rights
Starkly aims to hold no personal data about you. If we do hold some — support correspondence is the usual case — you can ask what it is, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
